Applications Open for Spring 2025 Scholarships

At the Law Office of Shane R. Kadlec, we serve and represent individuals who suffer injuries after serious accidents. Our team understands the important role public service plays in an individual’s physical, emotional, and financial recovery. With the Law Office of Shane R. Kadlec Public Service Scholarship, we want to support college students who are pursuing a career in public service and are passionate about helping others.

Each semester, we offer a scholarship award in the amount of $2,000 to a student who strives to become a better public servant. The funds can be used for tuition and other educational expenses at a university or college in the United States.

Who is Eligible to Apply?

To be eligible for a Spring 2025 Law Office of Shane R. Kadlec Public Service Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You are enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university for the Spring 2025 semester
  • You are a U.S. citizen
  • You are a resident of Texas or studying in Texas
  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You are pursuing a career in public service such as law, social work, government, non-profit, or education

How Do I Apply?

Your application should include a one-page (approximately 500 words) essay response to the following prompt:

Tell us about your interest in public service and why you’re pursuing that career path

The Deadline to Submit All Materials is May 1st, 2025 11:59 PM Central Time.

How Are The Recipients Chosen?

After reviewing all applications, our team at the Law Office of Shane R. Kadlec will select a recipient for the Spring 2025 scholarship based on the following criteria:

We will select and notify the Spring 2025 recipient by June 1st, 2025. Awards will be sent directly to the financial aid office of each recipient’s school. Recipients must consent to the use of their name, photograph, and essay on the Law Office of Shane R. Kadlec website, social media channels, and other marketing materials.

The Law Office of Shane R. Kadlec is honored to announce that Emily Martinez has been selected as one of our Fall 2022 Public Service Scholarship recipients. This Fall semester, Emily will be starting her second year of law school at the University of Houston.

For the Law Office of Shane R. Kadlec Public Service Scholarship, we are excited to announce Tionna Taite as one of our award recipients for the Spring 2022 semester. Tionna will graduate from The University of Alabama in May 2022. After graduation, Tionna intends on enrolling in law school.

We are pleased to award one of our Spring 2022 Public Service Scholarships to aspiring law student, Brady Cole Miller. Brady is a senior at the University of Texas – Austin and will start his legal education in the Fall of 2022.
